Fruta Brutal

Born in Ecuador and raised in the United States, Martín Better Longo blends his love for indie rock, pop, and Latin American music through his band, Fruta Brutal. During 10+ years spent in the bustling music scenes of New Orleans and Denver, as well as traveling through South America, Martín gained exposure to various styles that influenced his bilingual (English & Spanish) repertoire. Fruta Brutal’s debut album, produced by Grammy Award-winning New Orleans-based producer, Mack Major, and Denver-based Neoma producer, Danny Pauta, is set to release in 2023.

Performing as a quintet, Fruta Brutal has headlined sold out shows at Denver's Globe Hall and Roxy on Broadway, and performed with Latin Grammy Award winning band, Flor de Toloache, and internationally acclaimed, Making Movies. The band has also performed at Boulder's Fox Theater with Banshee Tree, and headlined at New Orleans' iconic Tipitina's.

With their latest single release, Cultura Vampira, a song that blends reggaeton with Latin rock, Fruta Brutal reached 10K views on YouTube, over 100K streams on Spotify, and is close to reaching 10K followers on Instagram. Martín is planning his first U.S. and Latin American tours following the release of Fruta Brutal's debut album.
